The Resident Assistant (RA) primarily fosters a sense of community among the residents of a residential community and promotes a balanced, responsible, and respectable atmosphere that is safe, friendly, and supportive. RAs accomplish this by assisting residents with their adjustment to campus and community living, providing leadership for residential activities, and encouraging residents to become involved with the CUA community. RAs also share information for Residence Life and Housing Services and direct students to the appropriate offices when they express concerns. |

Assistant Area Coordinator |

The Assistant Area Coordinator (AAC) is responsible for assisting the Area Coordinator in administering a residential program ina neighborhood housing approximately 600 students. This ten-month position includes primarily administrative, managerial, and educational functions that are performed to provide an environment conducive to good scholarship, intellectual stimulation, and social development. Working 19 hours per week, the AAC responsibilities will be in the Centennial Village Neighborhood. |

The Office Manager (OM) is responsible for assisting the Area Coordinator (AC) in administering a residential program in a complex housing unit of 200-600 students. This ten-month position includes management of the administrative and educational functions of the operation of the Residence Hall Office (RHO). The OM assists the Area Coordinator with the functional supervision of Office Assistants (OA) and in the completion of administrative duties. |

Office Assistants staff Residence Hall Offices (RHOs) and assist with the management of administrative functions of residential neighborhoods. This position allows students to practive strong customer service skills, develop good administrative practices, and become involved with the support of the residential neighborhood. |

The Hall Security Assistant (HSA) is a part-time staff member of Residence Life under the supervision of each neighborhood's Area Coordinator. HSAs staff hall desks and assist Residence Life ith administering the campus visitation policy, monitoring residence hall access, and providing information to hall residents. The HSA role encourages the formation of a productive, responsible, and enjoyable living environment. |

Area Coordinators (AC) are full-time professional staff members responsible for the day-to-day operations of the residential communities. These responsibilities include promoting a community living environment that enhances a student's residential living experience, supervising hall staff, coordinating building programs, and managing administrative matters. Each AC lives in a residence hall on campus and has responsibility for a specific area of campus with a population ranging from 200 to 600 residents. |

The Assistant Director of Residence Life supports all aspects of the mission of the department, division, and university. The Assistant Director manages specific aspects of the university's residence life system and will be responsible for developing, supporting, implementing, and evaluating residence life programs and processes that support the formation of community, reflect institutional thinking, and promote development of the whole student. The Assistant Director will ensure that programs and services are implemented with high wuality and attention to detail in conjunction with current student affairs best practices. In addition, the Assistant Director will support departmental and divisional programmatic initiatives that positively impact student retention, academic success, and enrichment. |
| Associate Dean of Students & Director of Residence Life |

The Associate Dean of Students & Director of Residence Life provides leadership for Residence Life and Judicial Affairs, as focus areas within the Office of the Dean of Students. In addition, the Associate Dean fulfills general Dean of Students responsibilities as they pertain to student support and development. The Associate Dean is primarily responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the university judicial system, including the development of intentional initiatives to support student citizens, supervising professional and student staff in Residence Life and Judicial Affairs, development and implementation of Residence Life staff training programs, and creation of strong, diverse student programming agendas in the residence halls. |
